We are pleased to announce, together with Oreste Pollicino, Amnon Reichman and Giovanni De Gregorio, the call for papers for Workshop 25 at the World Congress of Constitutional Law 2026, taking place in Bogotá from 6 to 10 July 2026
🔵 This time, we have decided to organise a workshop on digital constitutionalism, AI and sustainability. The focus is on how constitutional frameworks react to the challenges coming from the mix of evolving technologies and pressing environmental imperatives.
🟢 This workshop welcomes proposals that engage with a wide range of topics, including the tension between the energy demands of digital technologies and the goals of environmental sustainability. We are also interested in contributions that examine the balance between public and private governance of AI, and how digital technologies are being integrated into broader constitutional strategies for sustainability. Submissions may explore the “twin transition” of digital and green transformations, and how legal systems are adapting to this dual shift.
📝 Scholars are invited to submit abstracts of 300 to 500 words, accompanied by a short biography, institutional affiliation, and contact details. Please indicate clearly that your submission is intended for Workshop 25. Proposals may be submitted in English, French, or Spanish. The deadline for Phase 1 abstract submissions is 30 September 2025, and selected participants will be notified by 7 November 2025
🙏 Please share this call with colleagues and networks who might be interested, and any questions, please be in touch. More info here: Workshop 25 – WCCL 2026
